Early Thanksgiving Feast

We had about 20 friends over for an early Thanksgiving feast before everyone scattered to celebrate with family. I made a traditional turkey, Ma'ma's dressing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes and cornbread. Kevin made a canjun seasoned fried turkey and it was hard to tell which one was tastier!

What a good weenie helper!!

Oh, I also made two of the prettiest and tastiest pecan pies I've ever made! (Can you tell I'm proud of them?) Look at the pictures and tell me if you don't agree that they turned out really pretty.

The wrong color orange!

Fred and I went to Athens last weekend to watch Tennessee beat the crap out of Georgia in their own stadium. We had a great time, but it was a looooong ride home with our Georgia friends!

Unfortunately, because I was wearing the wrong color orange that day, Auburn got beat up by Arkansas. Just my luck! I've already traded the Tennessee shirt in this picture for an Auburn shirt, so Dane take note, you won't see this sight again! Enjoy it while you can!

Las Vegas

Fred and I just got back from a week in Las Vegas where we saw a friend of his get married. Vegas is bright and shiny and is entirely too big to see in 5 days, but here are some pictures from our adventure... I'll add more info later. Enjoy!

Eye Candy

My friend Marvera came over from Birmingham for a girl's weekend filled with massages, good friends, good food and a great concert. We saw a group called Il Divo. They are a UK group with an Italian name that are made up of an American, a Frenchman, a Swiss guy and a Spaniard. Did I mention that they are all classically trained tenors and are all devastatingly handsome? Take a look...

A Memorial Weekend

Well, it was a weekend filled with great company, great weather and great sailing. Other than a brief shark sighting (I didn't see it) and a wonderful 10 minute dolphin escort, we just enjoyed the sun and the wind and the naps.

Quilting for Bebe

Fred and I attended a baby shower for Jill & Jerry this weekend (Buffy graduated high school with Jill). These are some pictures of the quilted baby blanket I made for little Bebe Ross...

Last night I started on another blanket for some other close friends...
