Last night I started on another blanket for some other close friends...

What a pretty quilt!!
I didn't know that you could do that!

How are you liking your new job?

Cindy,

I didn't really know I could do that either - I just decided I wanted to sew it and somehow managed to make it happen. Who knew? Didn't Angie start a quilt while she was on hiatus? :o)

Loving the new job... have great folks, great things to do and very little stress...

seems like Angie started a quilt one time....
I don't think she ever finished it though.

Glad the job is working out well!

We've been on Easter break for the past 4 days.....SO NICE!!!
I can't wait for school to be out!

What a beautiful blanket!!! I love it!!! I want to do quilting too!!!

I am so impressed with your creative abilities. The blanket is wonderful... the colors are so good!!! You really did a good job picking everything out and sewing it together. It really is great!!!

Cindy was mistaken about my quilting. I have completed 2 quilts. Both are large enough to use on a double bed. The first was a "bow-tie" quilt and the next one was a "string" quilt. I have bought material and have "started" either 3 or 4 more, but have not finished them. (You know how that goes.) It has been a year or so since I have sewn anything. I am a bit rusty on my skills right now.

I love yours though!!! Great job!!!

Love,
Angie

Angie,

Did you sew yours by hand or on the machine? I bought a machine just to make the blanket(s). I'm probably not even doing something that is traditional quilting other than sewing together blocks of fabric.

By the way, they sell the fabric over here in "quilting sets". The blocks on this one was a blend of two different sets. They make it so easy these days...

That is fantastic about the quilting squares! How wonderful!

The tops for mine were sewn on a machine. The actual quilting was done by hand with everything set up in Mama Barton's quilting frame.

I enjoy sewing the material for the tops on the machine. I don't care a thing for the actual quilting part. Mama Barton actually did most of the quilting on both of my quilts. If I ever finish another top, I will pay someone to quilt it for me. I won't be doing that part, especially on a big quilt.

It's beautiful! How creative you are! Some of my favorite baby gifts were little "handmade" quilts like that that different friends gave me. I'm sure your friends will be quite proud of it too.

New job? I haven't heard! What are you doing now? Glad you're liking it.
